Love it.
Yeah, and pick up my dry cleaning while you're at it, poppet.
"Another theory suggests that employers are more likely to promote men who are the sole earner in preference to those who do not - they recognise that they need more support for their families, because they are the breadwinner."
Like employers give a sh*t about their employees' needs

Small employers often do. Because all their staff are important. Large employers...well I hope never to work for one again. Unless I'm near the top.

Those BJs they receive from their secretaries must make them work harder.

I've worked for a very small (four people) and fairly large company (220 people), and in my experience all they're interested in is spending as little as possible on wages so the top-brass can have big houses and flash cars. They're all the same - you have to have a work ethic but they don't have to have a pay ethic.MitchT said:

Gotta agree, there seem to be 2 types of employers:
Type 1 doesn't give a s
t about you or your expenses.
Type 2 takes an interest in you and your life... But still doesn't give a s
t about your expenses.

Employers do not give a s
t what you spend your money on.Like anyone. They just care that they pay a fair price for services recieved. Employers pay market rates or thereabouts because otherwise they find recruitment and retention difficult.
If you think you should be paid more - get another job that pays more - that's market forces for you. The world is very simple when it comes to these things.
