I work for a company that manufactures them.

You could try unscrewing the covering cap and cleaning the rubber seal.
It needs to be dust free and dry. But you will need to re-sealing the rubber seal where it sits in the valve using a small amount of silicon spray.

Failing that you should be able to get a new one from a local builders or plumbers merchant or you could mail order from Screwfix.

Hope this helps

Unfortunatly you can't get spares for these units.
We have to test each unit before it goes out as it needs to pass and meet BSI.
There are different sizes available 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 82mm & 110mm

And will be able to advise you too, and will "probably" be cheaper too. Beats me why everybody falls for the B&Q "we're cheap" stuff all the time. Must be the same people that put Labour in.

Agree about the advice thing. Some very knowledgable chaps in merchants. Cheaper than Screwfix however they rarely are.

I called into my local merchant the other day for 2 flexy monobloc tap tails - £9.98 (£2.89 from Screwfix).

That's why the inverted commas. wink

Although there is a reason for a fair number of the cheaper rates. I'll let you work that one out yourselves. wink

Take my word for it, Screwfix plumbing stuff, including most of the tools, is very poor quality.

Totally agree.Screwfix have slowly gone down hill since beeing taken over,(owned by the same people as B&Q BTW) Go to a plumbers merchant and ask for some discount, if you dont ask you dont get.
