Replacement Share Certificate
Discussion
Morning boys and girls,
Was having a shifty through some paperwork, and it occurred to me that I had not seen for a long time a certificate for some Shell shares that i think I still own, probably got lost in a move at some time.
Am i right in thinking I need to contact the Registrar at Shell UK or similar in order to start the process of obtaining a replacement?

In the UK share ownership was dematerialised years ago and you dont really need a cert. Was having a shifty through some paperwork, and it occurred to me that I had not seen for a long time a certificate for some Shell shares that i think I still own, probably got lost in a move at some time.

Well, I spoke to Shell and after I responded to three automated indemnity statements with a 1 for Yes, they tell me I just need to write in with proof of who I am, change of address details, and a request to re-issue the last 10 years of unclaimed dividends (
) they will send me some forms to fill out, i give them some money, job done.
