Leading on from the most expensive thing you ever lost, what has been the best thing you have ever found?

I found £140 in the back pocket of an old pair of shorts that I hadn't worn for about a year 6 months ago that was nice smile

20 years ago my mother gave me a gold/diamond tiepin. Earlier this year I wore it to a wedding and when I got home it was missing. The venue searched but couldn't find it. Just as I'd resigned myself that it was gone for ever, I walked to the car and saw it lying on the drive smile

A wallet full of cash when I was a kid, handed it in to the pub (we were playing in the beer garden) and it turned out to be the landlords sons. He bought us a round of drinks.

But the bestest best thing I ever found was my wife. smile

About 20 years ago my family went on holiday camping on a beach near Venice. My mother walked the beach on day one and misplaced her handbag at some point.

It had all our passports in it, most of our cash, cheque book credit cards etc. She was devastated, really upset. The next day she, rather hopelessly, went on yet another search for it whilst my father tried contacting the relevant authorities re the loss of passports etc.

Meantime I was doing my best to get to know the girl, camping a few caravans down, in a slightly more intimate way in the dunes (I have to declare failure on this I'm afraid despite her being very quick to tell me she was on the pill!) when I saw the lost bag!

Took bag back to caravan and just put on table. Me, my brother and dad were all sat round the table when a tearful mum returned from her fruitless search. She sat, sobbed, and reached into the "lost" bag to pull out her pack of B & H a light one up, and exclaim yet again "what are we going to do!"

I don't think she ever forgave us for the laughter that ensued!

Is this the teaser for Guy Ritchie's next film: Lock, Stock and a steaming pile of gravel?

Seriously though, was the *** anything special?

I found a Marantz amp, tuner and floor standing speakers in the house I bought over a year ago. I only discovered them last week.

A stash of page 3 pictures in an old railway siding.

Must have been about 10 years old. Spent days in there with the biggest hard on imaginable, delving through the various pictures of tits.

Pure, unadulterated amazement at the wonders of a female body. thumbup

I once found a bag full of plod uniform and other stuff that would have made it really easy to pretend to be a BIB.

It even had fixed penalty notices, I contemplated keeping them but decided it was all a bit too illegal.
