You expect 2nd Class to actually get delivered? Herein lies the fatal flaw.

Can you still buy 2nd class stamps? IME 1st class can often take several days, haven't bought 2nd class for years.

It used to work until Adam Crozier doubled the postage and sacked half the posties. Helped the bottom line though.

Royal Mail are, to put it mildly, a shambolic shower of st and I think you will be lucky to ever see the letter again.

Last week my girlfriend sent me a package by special delivery, guaranteed next day. 5 days later it hadn't arrived so I got the tracking number off her and checked it online "returned to sender'. The following day I received a letter that contained one of those cards the postmen leave when you're out. It told me the package had been left at the post office up the road confused Yet the fking tt hadn't left the card with me, and anyway, the Post Office hadn't kept hold of it, they simply sent it straight back to my GF. When she complained about it they mumbled something about insurance.

One of many problems I've had which include countless 'lost' (read: stolen) parcels and letters, and money taken from cards used on their website without authorisation.

When I saw the title of this I thought it was just the OP being honest about his thread.

I sent some things out yesterday at 4:30 first class post.

They have arrived all over the country this morning. Not bad i'd say.

It's the bl**dy post room where I'm contracting at the moment !

I didn't know they sent everything 2nd class unless told !

So I have an important application in cheques, photocopies or ID etc in the flaming postal system !
