Feeding his fish while he has been away.

Apparently 12 medium sized Koi carp do not require 1kg of fish food in one sitting, that as i have just found out is about 100 times too much. It also turned out to be rather more expensive than i thought for the summers supply of grey pellets which i fed the fish in a fortnight.

How was i to know? I figured not knowing the exact amount, giving them too much would be better that too little.

Now i have to help him clean out the filter next week which is full of fish food.

As you were whistle

Our house sitter did the same thing with our fish when we were last away. They looked very fat and pretty sorry for themselves after 9 days of about 200 pellets a day when they only need about 60.

Dont worry you're not alone, I promised to feed my mates fish whilst he was on holiday, forgot monday through friday. Went on Saturday, and thankfully they were all still alive, thought I had better give them an extra large amount so shoved a couple of handfulls of food in the pond.

He came back on Sunday to a pond full of floating corpses.

Apparently overfeed IS bad...

Because you sat there and read it despite it being obvious from the first sentance you didn't need to know it.

If that makes sense.

Did he not tell you how much to feed them?

Lucky they are not a pond full of floaters.

By the fish's expression, the bloke on the left is up to no good with the fish's anal opening.
