thought I would leave it last minute to book hoping prices could come down - they are shooting up rapidly!

chap on here booked kafelonia for £630 (for 2people) flight alone is now £1k each!!

obvious knock on effect from the airline companies going bump

damn it, haven't got a clue what to do (was planning on proposing while away!)

Time to vacation in the UK.

The midges will have stopped biting on the West Coast of Scotland around now...

i have noticed this too.

am still waiting to hear if the travel agent i booked with can arrange alternate flights as ours were with XL and we are supposed to go in 3 weeks.

they offered us out money back but looking at the prices on teletext this morning it'll be double what we paid 2 weeks ago.

may as well spend it as money isn't looking too safe kept in the bank these days!

I'd been watching a couple of last minute deals with globespan, bloody things have gone up approx 50%, I'll just leave it to VERY last minute and see if the deals are still around.

IMHO, flight prices are becoming real. These is no way anyone can cut prices day in and day out. XL is the first of many. We will have to get used to paying a proper price for our air travel.

I know, I'm looking at going to Mexico for Crimbo and new year. Nothing under £1500 for 4*

Does that mean it will go back to what it was like in the old days - for the rich?

Anyway, I think the highest chances of survival are the middle eastern airlines, they have limitless fuel sources and limitless funding.
