I'm travelling to Edinburgh next weekend and just wondered if anyone knows a good, cheap and secure place to park their car in or near the city centre..? Is it worth taking a car at all or should I be thinking about the train and getting taxi's everywhere?
Thanks. B.

Not a very car friendly city. Unless you're hotel has parking, you will struggle.

You could ask if there are any tame PHers nearby with a bit of space on their drive.

Haha that would be great but wouldnt want to invade their privacy.! Problem is, I'm staying with friends who live in an apartment in the centre and not a hotel so i won't have parking..!

Forget it then. On street parking is like gold dust. Time to put the shout out for a tame PH'r as has been previously advised.

Yes well if there is any truely kind PH'ers willing to give up a wee bit of space on their drive it would be welcome.. biggrin
Not any huge multi-storey car parks for over-night parking..? Not too bothered if its going to be thatt expensive..
