Did anybody else just spot Nick Robinson saying that he hoped there was less chance of a challenge to Gordon Brooon? I just sent this complaint to the Beeb:

"Nick Robinson, in a report on attacks on Gordon Brown from within the party, reiterated his assertion that he felt that there was less appetite for leadership change from the cabinet and Unions than there was a few weeks ago. He went on to say that he had received a text from someone in "team Brown" saying they hoped he was not the Michael Fish of political forecasting. He went on to explain how Michael Fish has incorrectly predicted a the hurricane some years ago. He finished by saying "I hope so too".

Removing the fluff from this, he essentially said that he hoped he hadn't been incorrect in predicting less chance of a challenge on Gordon Brown.

This is (more) clear evidence of Mr Robinson's bias towards the Labour party. He should not be expressing an opinion that is would be good or bad for there to be a leadership challenge."

Ex chair of the Young Conservatives Nick Robinson was implicitly supporting Gordon Brown, rather than simply hoping not to end up as another laughing stock like Michael Fish ?

Oh well, you'll have given the BBC complaints desk a good laugh on a wet Friday evening.

Yes I know he's the ex Young Conservative. However, many of us change our views as we get older/more experienced and reading his blog, he's heading left and up Gordon's backside.

What he basically said was that he predicted the heat was off Brown and that he hoped he was right about that prediction.

IMHO this is bias and has no place on the news. I'd be equally bothered if he'd have said the heat was on Gordon and he was glad about that.

No tinfoil needed, I don't think this is a conspiracy, just that the BBC's senior political correspondent should be more circumspect.

I can't believe the Beeb would be biased in favour of socialists. Nope, that would never happen.

...no, wait....
