For some reason I'm in a bad mood this week, think it's linked to the weather, so I'm having a rant in the office about the state of the place.
2 out of the 3 toilets in the building are unsafe and definatly unhygienic, the 3rd is the one the shop floor use and I'm not even going in there.
The kitchen is a state with tiles missing from the wall and the whole building is filthy.
So.....I'm just composing a rant email to the Health And Safety rep and was wondering if there are any recognised health and safety guidelines I can quote to make it sound a little more threatening, the idea of a threat to close the place until food in and out areas are up to a certain level of cleanliness would be great. wink

You're standing there hands on hips wearing an apron and marigolds right?

Your more likely to catch something nasty off your keyboard. Unless of course you've taken to licking the bog wall ...... as well as the windows.

Guess I was asking for this really. rolleyes
It's just that trying to balance over the bog while dropping the kids at the pool with no toilet seats and a healthy layer of dried pi$$ under the hand dryer that the person that should be wearing the mariglods hasn't cleaned for years has been the final straw today. paperbag

Happy to clean that myself and do on a regular basis. paperbag
So I'm guessing I'm not going to get the link to the EU derivative on toilet wall cleanliness I was after. hehe

Im with the OP - I think its only fair to expect the facilities in your workplace to be clean and in a reasonable state of repair.

At the end of the day its all down to personal standards and if the other 90% of the workforce think they are fine, what can you do?

Why not trade your car in for a motorhome - as well as having your own private kitchen and bathroom, you also have somewhere to kip at lunchtime?

no?

Cant say I didnt try...
