Anyone got any suggestions for recovery exercises for the above injury? The hospital has been utterly utterly useless in this respect. They simply stuck a needle in (after waiting for 12 weeks) and said this might work, if not we'll need to operate. No advice on what I could do to help me.

So other than the Internet's advice to keep mobile does anyone have any specific advice. I am just walking a lot at the moment, but don't want to exacerbate the problem with the wrong sort of exercises as it was hard training that brought it on in the first place.

Cheers

Walking a lot sorted it for me, also my specialist recommended an exercise ball but I can't remember the exercises.

This was after surgery though...

Go and see a physio. Basically you need to get active, look after your posture and be wary of lifting, bending, straining and prolonged sitting. A McKenzie treatment regime may help as can gentle spinal mobilisation.
