Has Britain become a 3rd World Country? Discuss
Discussion
MRSA, C. diff, another blue tongue case I see today, 2 foot and mouth outbreaks in the past few years, cost transport going up, pay staying or going down, food shortages, strikes. We are reverting back to the 70s! It took Labour 20 years to recover from it!
We are not a 3rd World country as yet but we are slowly sinking!

Not yet, but were almost there.
Perhaps another 10 years then the UK will be really stuffed.
I sincerely doubt we'll have another 10 years under Labour for the next several decades at least, for which I am very grateful. It's a right mess, but not one that can't be sorted out. It had to be done last time they were in too. Perhaps another 10 years then the UK will be really stuffed.
One fair point might be than in limited areas of the larger cities we have allowed areas to be occupied almost exclusively by migrants from the third world who have done a pretty good job of carrying on exactly as they would have done in the third world.
But that's more to do with lack of integration, ghetto-isation in large cities, and immigration policy .... than the country as a whole.

If we continue the way we are doing stuff it'll be more like 3 years!Perhaps another 10 years then the UK will be really stuffed.
Call an Election Mr Brown!

I am in the worst situation I've ever been in, I'm on income support, I can't drive, I need a job, my shares are plummeting, I need the NHS to keep me alive literally!
No.
Some well meant advice:
1. stop taking Clarkson seriously
2. stop taking the Sun seriously
Having said that, in jest he raises some real issues:
If we carry on saddling the productive bit of the UK, with the cost of upkeep of the non-productive, sat-on-their-arse-wattching-daytime-tv bit and the overblow public sector with layers-upon layers of non-jobs, then real poverty will come knocking here too.

For us, not having a plasma television is the benchmark of poverty. For them, it’s not having a pig.
This is part of the modern UK disease - everyone thins they are really hard done by and few people with a passport have ever left these shores and visited real poverty. Which makes them fat, lazy and complacent and happy to put up with a public sector which is likewise, in general. If we carry on saddling the productive bit of the UK, with the cost of upkeep of the non-productive, sat-on-their-arse-wattching-daytime-tv bit and the overblow public sector with layers-upon layers of non-jobs, then real poverty will come knocking here too.
