We all know the Office is generally a boring and stty place to be, but from time to time little things happen that give you a chuckle.. Other than reading the Pie & Piston. This just happened:

Boss shouts across the office to our accounts manager, "What's the embroidery thing called with needles?"

Accountant yells: "CROSS-STITCH"

Boss doesn't hear, and shouts again

Accountant yells: "CROSS-STITCHING!"

Boss doesn't hear again, and thinking the account is ignoring him, starts shouting his name.

Accountant mutters "For fks sake" as he gets up and starts to walk across the room.

Boss shouts again.

Accountant shouts "CROSS-DRESSING"

hehe

Anything similar from you folks?

I have a sinking feeling this thread will be incredibly short lived

Colleague left his phone on the loud text ring (one of the old classic phones)...at exactly the same time the cleaner lady was restocking the vending machine.

As it wasn't the first time it'd happened I put his phone in one of the rings in the vending machine, she locked it, went away.

He came out his meeting and it cost him £3 to get his phone back hehe

Big insurance company. Named after a uk town and a queen from days gone by.

Young bird turns up for work. No knickers on. Gets sent home for the day.

So does the bloke who sits on the snowflake desks opposite, but he gets sent home permanently. He figured when he caught a glimpse of the gash it would be a good time to have a PW.

Ahhh, happy days.

I once demonstrated to a colleague an act i saw his wife performing on 4 men! ( it was a joke we had between us to pass the day, she wasnt really doing anything) So there i am demonstrating this act only to discover that there was approx 15 visitors staring in at me through the window & wondering what the heck i was doing! I almost died with embarrassment & had to explain to my boss afterwards what i was doing.

I once switched over the left and right mouse functions on my boss's pc and pissed myself laughing as he opened every application going and ended up on the phone to IT Support going daft. I had to own up when he started swearing at the poor engineer.

I had a boss who used to use the word 'boost' every second line and it really wound me up . So I set up m/word so that any time he typed boost it changed it to supercalifragilisticexpealidocious. He thought he had a virus and went around the office showing it to everyone. Ironically we were an IT company and he made himself look like a right prat as everyone was able to figure out sharpish what had happened.

I once pinched someones lunch sandwiches and put them in the lift then got a great laugh as people got in and out the lift for a good hour just looking at the sndwiches but it was the girls face when she went to get in the lift and as the doors opened she realised her lunch was sitting in it that cracked me up.

The worst one however was to take apart someone's desk completely, the pc, the contents of the drawers, the lot. It was the xmas party, I was pissed. I relocated his entire desk in various parts of the office but by the time I got back to work I couldn't remember where I'd put everything. Wasn't so funny then.

I buried my bosses phone in a plantpot...

taped a colleagues phone to the underside of his chair and then rang it constantly

moved a colleagues car to the other carpark

taped the sensors up in the same colleagues mouse

put viper stripes on a colleagues car in brown parcel tape with cardboard sideskirts and front splitter

I was young...

Used to live about 5 min from work and a colleague and I used to spend lunch playing Colin mcRae on my Xbox.

Coming up to lunch and I was up for a race or two, so thought I'd see if he was going to join me. Did a "net send", got the syntax wrong and invited the whole domain for a race. A few thousand people had pop-ups appear asking if they were up for a race. getmecoat

My mate put a banana on an colleague's phone (in place of the handset), then rang the old chaps phone.
Old boy immediately went to pick up the banana, and for a second or two couldnt fathom what was happening to him.
Funny.

My - male - work colleague was terrified of spiders. We worked in an office that was a barn conversion so moths and spiders were frequent visitors. One day he started twitching and brushing at his head. He turned to me and asked if he had a spider on him. I turned to him with a look of complete and utter horror on my face, shouting, "Oh my God! It's f@$%*ng massive!" At which point he leapt up, ran around the room and tore his top off hehe

The fact that he was a singer in a hard-core punk band and looked like a right thug made it all the funnier.

guy in our office has a white repmobile as his daily snotter. he had a small knock in it and needed a new bonnet, so fitted a black one from the local scrapper.

next lunchtime he went out to the car park to find his car fully stickered up as a taxi - banners on the bonnet and doors [inc. his mobile no.] and an improvised 'taxi' toblerone on the roof.

so far that is the only thing we've ever used the sticker machine for.
