Sorry, blatant tin-foil helmet time, but I'm a bit bored, so...

What sort of number on the Richter scale would, say, a large atomic bomb going off at the bottom of a mineshaft register as? scratchchin

According to this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richter_magnitude_sca...

7.1 is equivalent to the 'Tsar' nuke, largest ever tested

your hiroshima/nagasaki stuff is listed at 5.0 so 6.1 would be about right for a decent modern nuclear weapon.

£20 is was the American's or Israeli's with a pre-emptive strike.

American's report it was an Earthquake, Iranian's say it was a bomb.

Who's the rest of the world going to believe?

(well actually, i'm not sure)

Depth reported as abut 55km - That's about the same as the depth of the Earth's crust! yikes

BBC where kind enough to write an article eventually: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/76082...

Still a bit slow in response though, PH nearly beat them (3 mins like! TBH I searched around a bit first as well)...who needs foreign correspondants? wink

I'm quite impressed that PH (as mentioned above) carried the story before the BBC. Just goes to show you can find out anything on here.

Where did you first hear about it?

Does this mean that Israel will stop lobbying America and the rest of the world to attack Iran now then?
