After recently buying one of these magnificent stirling engines for my gaff, I was wondering what other pointless blokey things for your houses fellow posters have recently wasted spent good money on.

Thats brilliant El.

Personally I have a tiny torch which illuminates half the world and cost an arm and a leg.
Can't remember if I have used it beyond the first day it arrived.

I've bought these too.

I try to get the strongest one possible and then get angry when my kids get hold of them and nearly blind themselves!

In the office this morning we were debating the merits vs justifiability of buying night vision goggles.
One of those blokey things you really want but know you would never ever use.

When placed on a warm object it rotates. All it needs is for there to be a temperature differential between the top and bottom plate so it works on a cold object but in reverse.

Utter tosh.

Of course you'd use them, put them on when you drive and then switch off your lights and go covert! thumbup

Stand it on top of a hot cup of coffee and the wheel goes round.

I bought an Ultrasonic Bath on ebay, well when I say bath it's about big enough to bath a stapler in, it obviously isn't an everyday occurance to say "right then dear I'm just off out to the garage to bath my collection of staplers" so you can tell how usefull it is. So far I've sat and stared at it while it contained my watch and then been amazed at the way I was able to remove a watch that looked absolutely no different what so ever (well apart from being wet) to when I put it in.
