Trying to sell Salon... where to advertise?
Discussion
Good evening everybody I'm looking for the advice and opinons please.
I own a nail, tanning and beauty salon that I'm trying to sell as my business partner is moving out of the area.
Anyone got any ideas, information or actual experience of where I would be best to advertise it.
I've already got it in the local press and "For Sale" ads posted in the relevant beauty/hair salon wholesalers.
The only "business transfer agent" I know of wants a huge upfront fee with (obviously) no guarantee that it will sell.
Anyone sold a business recently and if so, how and where do you advertise it?
For your information the business in question is a small salon, established 3 1/2 years ago and we are based in a 2 storey shop on the High St. in a busy little market town.
Don't know if it helps with suggestions but the asking price is circa. 15k for business, fixtures and fittings, goodwill and SAV.
Any suggestions very welcome.

daltonsbusiness.com or businessesforsale.com
Also, is there a trade magazine around? The back of that would be full of them.srebbe64 (or smiliar) would be a good chap to ask too. Do a member search (and I don't mean rummage around the front of a man's trousers)

Hi Deborah Meaden here. I have had lots of experience of this sort of thing and let me tell you its not an investible opportunity. I inherited my family hotel chain so I know lots about spending other peoples money and they wouldn't spend it in your salon and for that reason . .I'm out
appoint a commercial agent or handle it yourself, as an agent we advertise in the Estate Agent Clearing House, Daltons Weekly, Shop Property (part of Focus), comproperty and we also do a bit on gumtree but the leads are generally crap
unless you need a quick sale i'd just stick it up on all of those websites and your local B2B classifieds/LOOT etc and see what happens - all except E.A.C.H are open to you as that is a trade only mag
if you want an agent to sell it for you...
