Not aspirations, well, could be, but I mean the sort that leave you disturbed/enlightened/thrilled for a day or so. Like people dying, or you meet/kill/sha* someone important/famous. Dreams that leave a resounding impression on you. I could begin with...... nah, don't want Mrs Biker to read this! but let's just say it was all 100% realistic and I felt awkward the next day! oh ok, I met this bird who was a cross between Britney and Piper, and it all got a bit frisky. So no grassing me up to the missus if you know us outside of the matrix!!! what's your most interesting/involving dream?

A couple of weeks ago I had a dream where I was in the Fire Brigade. I didn't fight any fires, but sat in the middle of the fireman's mess, with a big metal saucepan full of custard on my lap. I then proceeded to fling custard, using a big ladle, at my co-workers until the chief fireman took the ladle off me.

Bizarre.

I dreamnt I was in Sex and the City once, I have no idea why, and I didn't even get it on with anyone, I was just 'there'. Weird. I normally drive a classic 911 in my dreams aswell scratchchin Is it unusual for dreams to have recurring themes??

Maybe that was the reality, and this is the dream...

I had a dream once that involved my best friend dying. We were in an empty school exploring and found the chemistry labs. She went in one of them and when I tried to follow, locked the door so I couldn't get in. I KNEW that she was going to kill herself, and I remember vividly banging and banging on the door screaming her name and begging her not to do it. Then the room exploded, and it was the most completely crushing, destructive, hideous feeling I've ever experienced. Like nothing else on earth. I had to call her as soon as I woke up to make sure she was OK.

I've been lucky enough to have never had anybody particularly close to me die, and I can only imagine that the reality would be ten times worse than the dream. At least in a dream you can wake up and even if you still feel terrible, at least everything is OK really. It's not something I ever want to have to deal with.

re: driving in dreams, i sometimes dream i've got a ferrari or similar, but can never get it out of first gear and go for a hoon. disappointing to say the least!

last night i dreamt i had a pet caterpillar. not the little ones, but an actual cat that was about 4 foot long with 12 pairs of legs! he was white with red feet and was a bugger to pick up but couldn't half run smile

dream last night:

Recurring dream involves me being in the middle of a very violent and bloody war. in an asian jungle i'm being chased by some army types- very very scared of getting caught. hide under a bush and keep my head down but get caught. Beaten bloody anve had my ear sliced off, chained into a gang and force marched for 2 days. Crossing along a very high cliff face we are unshackled briefly for a rest and drink as it is impossible to escape (being far too high to climb down). Decide to climb down the 2000ft shear cliff face- start to climb and overhear a gaurd saying that i'm dead meat and not to worry about me. Climb all day. Get to the bottom and find a beatiful beach and a very happy village nestled in the foot of the cliff face that no one knows about

Jump for absolute joy and dance fr the next week.

how ridiculously symoblic is that?

dont get me started on weird dreams.

i had one the other night, started off round someones house with 3 people in front of me, 2 on the stairs one next to, started fighting with one of them for some reason. dont know why, a chair got involved.

then then it sort of changed to being like half life crossed with metal gear solid.
i had a tranq gun an there were these weird dog type things around, and these plants that tryed to eat you.

anyway dont really want to say much more incase it makes me sound a bit 'too funny' lol

think i might have eaten/drunk something that was a bit 'funny' tongue out

I used to have a recurring dream wher I was about an inch tall, inside a revolving tyre. As the tyre sped up, so I would shrink. It was surprisingly scary. It was just like a blur of tyre, and me shrinking to the size of an atom. Not pleasant at all.

I occasionaly dream that I can fly, and sometimes I am aware that I am dreaming and can choose where and how I fly, this only happens when I have serious jetlag and am very tired, its really good though!

That's called lucid dreaming, and with a bit of training it's possible to bring it on yourself, rather than it happening by chance.

Common triggers are things like light switches - apparently light switches almost never work in dreams, so if you can somehow train yourself so that flipping a light switch is something you always do in dreams, often that will be a useful trigger for your dreaming brain to figure out that it isn't real.
