Will likely phone Council on Monday, but interested if anyone knows of an online service to identify the owners of a particular piece of land? I'm attempting to gain vehicular access to the rear of one of my properties, just by buying a small piece of land.

Land registry. You can do it on-line but you have to pay. Think it costs about £3. Good luck.

Cheers, should have mentioned I had already used their online service. For some reason their website is closed on Sundays, god only knows why! rolleyes

It can be a bit tricky to trace ownership sometimes. You might need to go to your townhall to enquire about it. I had to track the owner of a bit of land recently and it took me a few weeks to find the owner. Had to take the townhall route and use an old map and deeds.

Cheers, I suspect it could well be owned by up to three people, this could get fun! biggrin
