Anyone out there clever or clued in enough to work back from a net monthly salary of £4.5k (takehome) to a gross annual salary?

Is it in the region of £75k - £80k?

have a play with this!

ETA tax is SCAREY when you get up to these types of salary. I would hate to be a PAYE employee and earning money like that. Enough to make you vomit.

Just been offered a 'proposition'........

Do YOU get suspicious when things look too good to be true? Johnny does (said in the style of The Togmeister relating a Janet and John story....)

We had a new member of staff who at the end of her first month couldn't figure out how her £20K salary amount to only £600 take home.

Then the penny dropped that she hadn't understood the notion of 'pro-rata' and as she only worked part time that £20k was in fact £10K. She had given up a job earning more money to take it, and thought we were pretty generous paying £20K for 20 hours a week.

I sincerely hope that this is said tongue in cheek. I would hate to think that such an obnoxious, offensive, stupid individual could be on PH.confused

I mean, surely no intelligent person would post abusive comments for real without first checking what the original post was really about, or how much the OP actually earned. scratchchin

No; can't believe that anyone would be such a tit. Mind you, big men do seem to live behind keyboards these days. They seem to shrink in the real world though.
