Hello all. Iv'e been thinking about what i can do with my garage recently as its just full of crap ( hey, whos isnt) but really i wanted to make it into something decent. Now ive gone and seen this picture and i know the sort of thing i want. i just need some help

All im thinking is some nice glossed tile flooring and a neutral colour for the walls, some storage units and maybe a sette and a tv on the wall, and obviously somewhere still to park my car. Its a double garage for starts so ive got a lot of room to play with. Ill be fine doing some decorating but i just need some best options to

Lay the tiles and to cover up the brick ( either plaster or board , god knows how its done in todays world) so can anyone thats a bit of a pro in these areas lend me a hand?

Much appretiated thumbup

So, to summarise you want to be able to 'scope your guns' & chisel your pecs whilst looking at your car, then sit down on a setee (in your garage) and watch 'art' films whilst still glancing at your car a bit?

Have you tried BBC's 'Changing Rooms'?

Fair do's. But don't take any advice from me. When people look around the Frottage Cottage at Zep Acres they congratulate me on inviting local disabled people from the 'day centre' to help out with the DIY. If its a lady I let her run with that notion though.

Cheeky gits.

Don't quite understand what you actually want to use the room for. Your house will be built with two layers of brick with a cavity that is probably insulated. It has proper damp proofing in the walls and floor and is centrally heated.

Your garage will be single brick, cold and damp.

I know where I would rather sit on a sofa and watch TV.

Do you want to turn your garage into a habitable room or just tart up your car storage/work area?

Glossy tiles may look nice, but be sure to put some buffers on the the rear wall of the garage for those wet days! Although with a double garage you could probably drive in forward, give it some revs, spin it and drive out forward. Practice this before you put the Plasma tv on the wall.hehe

just so you know, the garage pictured is way bigger then a double garage.

your average double garage decked out with tiles and white paint, a sofa and tv is likely to look more than a little cramped (and crap)

good luck though.

So you two are brothers? And he lives at home still?

I give it until the first cold snap and he'll be back indoors watching Coronation Street with the oldshehe
