Anyone heard any of their new songs? Did they play any at Reading/Leeds?

Is this another St Anger CD of crap... or are they back to their genius level?

I think "the day that never came" is the new single you can hear for free on their website. It's 7 minutes long and pretty damn good. Me and a mate were picking out all the allusions to earlier songs.
The album looks like it will be metallica's "The world needs a hero" i.e. they stray too far from their origins with some dodgy albums then said "Hang on, all this stuff we're doing is st! What was it we're good at, y'know, that people like? Let's do some more of that."
So the result is like their early stuff, but better produced/a little more polished.

Yeah i was at Leeds - they played two new songs from the new album - one called Cyanide and another one that escapes my befuddled mind.

They were superb.

Seen them several times over the last few years and this was by far the best gig they have put on. Death Magnetic should be very very good (i hope)

Ordered my copy today. I can't wait! I have a good feeling about this one, the one song I have heard has been superb. Plus whatever, happens, it can't possibly be worse than St Anger................
