Folks,

The fire last night in Maesbrook, Oswetry that possible claimed the lives of a family - i'm trying to locate the house on google earth without success.

BBC News website says the house is "situated off the road between Maesbrook and Knockin" but i've scanned the entire road and I can't see any house that matches the helicopter footage shown on the BBC News website, or the telegraph site.

No real reason for knowing, just bored and thought i'd have a look.

Anyone assist?

Google Earf isn't a live feed.
Some of their stuff is months, even years, old.

Not a clue why you want this but The Wood, Maesbrook, Oswestry, SY10 8QU

Both GoogleMaps and GoogleEarth are pretty clear, to my befuddled eyes anyway.

Cheers - I had spotted that when I was scanning the maps, but I wasn't sure that was it.

Aye, just intrigued to find out what happened - have the whole family done a bunk? Has the dad gon mad and torched the place, then done a bunk himself? Or was this a burglary gone wrong, etc etc etc - too many possible stories for this one & I guess everyone will just need to wait & see.

Got a funny feeling this one won't be solved though.

I'm not sure they've done a bunk, I mean why burn down your house when you can just buy three canoes? wink

Likely dead I'm afraid... frown
