Nope. Different idea and race format ... this looks more like a car version of Arnie's Running Man. Looks quite good fun though.

Lovejoy's come a long way from antiques hasn't he smile

It's a good laugh, you just have to switch your mind off for 2 hours... Funniest thing in the film is just before the credits where they put up a disclaimer saying 'Don't try to attempt the stunts in this film on public roads' or something similar. Which is a shame, as if they didn't put that up I was going to strap a couple of miniguns to the front of my Astra!

LOL yes it is alarming what they do try to warn us all from doing these days.

I mean, surely if one did imitate the stunts at home then one deserves everything that one gets?

it's about time that anyone casting statham in a part ensures he doesn't have to do an accent!

Yup its a good film plenty of high speed crashes and lots of blood.
Storyline is not brilliant but def worth a watch!
Try to spot the cars too, They have a Mustang a 300C and a shape which looks like a 911?

Indeed (great games both).... or Carmageddon which was of course in turn rather based on the original which I've seen and is predictably bonk.

Firmly aimed at the 12 year old schoolboy market. But provided you leave your brain at the door, not bad entertainment. A good film to take a date to if you want her to get so bored she noshes you off halfway through and then goes to sleep.

I preferred Rock'n'Rolla myself.

They also have a huge Ram 3500 and the big tractor trailer unit "dreadnought" which i thought was a novel idea.

One would assume its a bit more 'PC' than the original?

Indeed. Only one innocent person is killed to my recollection.

I saw this last night and loved it biggrin

Plenty of action from the off, good looking girls and some quality car noises.

One thing that did bug me was the Mustang with the Tombstone - it would have handled like an absoute pig and they were powersliding it all over the shop.

I know, i know - its not a serious film but everytime i saw it the thought cropped up.
