What do you do, if you catch someone damaging your property?
Discussion
Hi all,
Just been sat in my room, and heard my dad shouting at someone outside, turns out a group of lads are messing around with my car, and hes rightly shouting at them through the window.
Unlucky for me, lucky for them, i wasnt dressed at the time, and my old man was just in his dressing gown, opened the curtains to catch sight of them so i can get them when i`m dressed.
They could have been doing anything for all i know, trying to break in or scratching MY paint, something I paid for, with MY money, what gives them the right to do that? I decided i dont want that round my house, and just as importantly, i dont want that for my neighbours, who are mostly elderly and couldnt stop anyone if it happened to them.
Rightly or wrongly, i got dressed and chased them down, caught them, conveniently turns out they actually were not doing anything to my car, one of them had dropped his phone and was picking it up
gave them a quick b
king, deep voice helps with this
, disposed of one over a wall (un-injured, i think), frog marched one down to my house so he could debate with my dad what he was doing.
Other one scarpered, not to worry, ive seen you before, we`ll meet later.
So, make my way round the streets to look for him, find his brother who i have seen before, kindly tells me where they live
gets his dad out, who at first i thought was going to be aggresive from his body language as he came out of the house, turns out to be a nice man, gives his son a good telling off, because hes not happy about the stocky chap whos rather angry outside.
Long conversation ensues, both lads parents are there, neither happy, i make the lads cough up a few quid to cover the small items missing, and it came from their saving which is the most important thing.
Let them know they are lucky nobody was in a position to leave the house, because they would have been hit on sight, again rightly or wrongly, his dad seems happy because his son wont be doing this again, other lads mother seems, erm, ok, mad at her son, but glad it has been bought to her attention.
So all in all, it ended well, i`m happy, if not a little angry, ive stopped them damaging my car, scared them suitably to stop them doing it again, and got a small amount to recover the stolen items which they had thrown (only did this on principle, so they know its not nice to have something taken away from you), suitably scared them, so i dont think they will be doing anything like this again incase they get someone like me chasing them down, shook the blokes hand, thank him for being helpfull, and off i trot.
So, if youve read that, first of all, well done.
Next, would you have done different?
If so, what do you think you would do in this situation?

wow suprised no-ones mentioned a 12" rubber dick, seems to be the topic at hand tonight
But kudos to you! What was the damage done or items taken?
Hope they don't mess with ya again
It was only dustcaps and wheel centers (which took me ages to find), but as i say it wasnt so much what they had stolen, it was the principle, rest assured, if damage had been done, i wouldnt have been so calm about it all

tards a hiding!..seems to be the only effective method of punishment these drips understand.Failing that you could always log a complaint with the police...await there response..(usualy 3 weeks)..make a statement....(usualy takes 1 week)...and learn that in this time, the culprits would have robbed an off licence, bludgeoned a pensioner with her walking stick, and committed a sexual offence on the next door neighbour's budgie!!....
My point being, the justice system in this country kinda sucks!..
B.T.W...you dealt with the matter well..
.....A little concerned however about the both being undressed bit......you dont own a budgie do you?..

Ye thats pretty much why i did it, i dont think people should just let things like this slide, i didnt hit them due to them not causing damage, i`m also not a violent person, and the fact that they looked like they were going to piss their pants when i stormed round the corner to them, my dad would have hit them though without any hesitation though
I think its gone well, it will stop them, or at least make them think next time.
I was undressed for perectly good reasons, honest guv

take it you live in a half decent area where the kids are just little s

Hope it dosn't happen buddy but stand by to find your car on its roof before too long, revenge and regaining 'respect man' is what these little punks live for.
I cant see that happening to be fair, i know where they live, i know what they look like, i know one of the lads names, i know who their parents are, if anything happens soon, i know where i`m looking, and would kick them black and blue, wouldnt take it out on the parents, they were nice people and understood where i was coming from.R.E being stabbed, i had a wheel wrench with me, i kept a good distance, and one of the lads was on his back in someones lawn before he realised what all the comotion was about, so i felt safe all the time.
And we are not a family of nudists, me and my old man were not in the same room, and no budgies have been involved in tonights comotion
