New Bond trailer

Anyone watched it yet? What did you think? Looks like it could be a good 'un!
Not seen the trailer but from what I hear we're in for another classic Bond.
Incidentally, does anyone know if Winelunch was well enough to do the song or did Muse do it as suggested? I'm a Muse fan and can take or leave the bedraggled jazz-lite crooner, but her style suits Bond films more than any hard rock band could.

Usual Bond style. Looks fantastic !
Loving the Aston Martin. Wasnt there speak of Bond going back to a Bentley...?
I think we see Bond's own garage, which hopefully will include a Bentley and his DB5 (and for old time's sake a white Esprit S1 restoration project too - according to the Bond novels, he restored cars in his spare time).Loving the Aston Martin. Wasnt there speak of Bond going back to a Bentley...?

Are Bond films a cinema event worth bothering with these days?
How many times can they get away with the same basic plot regurgitated time and time again?
Except now it's 1.5 hours of pure product placement.
Pure product placement that no one can actually afford......How many times can they get away with the same basic plot regurgitated time and time again?

I've seen it, this morning on YouTube. It looks very good, loads of action with boats, jumping bikes onto docks, Bond walking on the horizon holding some kind of rifle, bond and M interviewing someone from (presumably) SPECTRE (saying "we have people everywhere"), M accusing bond of being vengeful over his wife, M removing his travel documents, bond presumably goes AWOL...
In short, looks like its going to be at least as good as the first.

I think the key to Bond films being watchable lies in them being merely improbable, rather than impossible. As though they could potentially happen. How many times can they get away with the same basic plot regurgitated time and time again?

After all, back in the '60s no-one believed that a privately wealthy individual with no state affiliation and his own fanatical private army could mastermind the theft of three aircraft and a plot for mass destruction of the US financial infrastructure from a base hollowed out of a mountain range whilst issuing threatening taped demands to the UN, could they?
If you think about it it's entirely possible Osama Bin Laden's favourite film is You Only Live Twice.
Ironically, our secret, political world probably resembles Bond's more closely than any time during the Cold War.
SPECTRE are Al-Qaeda, really. More relevant than ever.
