I've puzzled aout this as well, I assume she knows people in the OK/Now magazine field and can therefore just 'be' famous.

Despite the fact that most people a) don't know who she is, b) don't know what she has done and c) don't care.

To pay that size tax bill (probably inflated for headlines) means she must have thrown it all away pretty freely - very annoying for those of us who could have used just the tax money to jumpstart a new business or pay off the mortgage with.
