Okay so I have kept quiet about this as I really didnt want to build my hopes up but in another thread it kind of came out.

I won't go into detail (i'll do that in another thread when i have more time) but this year has been quite extraordinary, climaxing (hehe, i said climax) in me travelling down to England this weekend to be "assessed."

This means that I'm 3 days and good health away from becoming a paid footballer, at 19 I didn't think it was possible as I believed you had to start at a proffessional club at a young age, I won't go into too much detail of how I was spotted but lets just say I'm a very lucky guy.

I'll meet up with coaches and physios, recieve a medical, yep even no-namers like me get them as well, and hopefully be signed up. I haven't told my workplace about this yet either so hopefully i'll be back on monday with a letter of resignation.

Wish me luck people smile

For the love of GOD, don't do a Ray Jones.

Premiership team, Championship team, or lower leagues so you can test the water and work your way up?

I don't want to say untill i'm back, I'll hopefully be back home at the end of this weekend. If it doesn't work out (which i've been told is unlikely as they have seen as much of me as they need to) atleast I get to meet people and get to watch a footie game for free wink

Bon chance. I would go all theatrical and say 'break a leg', but something tells me that's not a good thing.

PLEASE, a heart-felt plea from us all.

Teach your fellow pros to stand up, and be a man. Don't hit the floor as if someone has gut-shot you. Give something back to the community (but do it quietly). Never bitch or moan to the refs. Please don't run for 20 yards along the touchline before throwing the ball in. And above all, enjoy yourself.

Good lad.

I hope you turn out to be the best striker in the world, and you're signing for Ipswich.

Good Luck Bud!

Remember us when you're famous, then we can run a "Does anyone famous post on PH?" thread and put you on it.

PS I think it's odd that famous people don't make themselves known on these threads by the way. Would make people realise they are normal (or are they not? scratchchin)
