The points about indoctrination being possibly a form of abuse made me think. I don't want to drag that argument up again but I pondered the following.

Personally, I believe that vegetarianism and especially veganism is not an ideal way to feed your body, I believe we are natural omnivores.

So, would bringing your children up as vegetarians and never giving them the facts about or the choice of eating meat be a form of abusive indoctrination?

Blimey.

Yes!
Absolutely, I don't think there is any place for forcing beliefs onto your kids, although the kids would probably have to feed themselves as most veggies couldn't possibly bring themselves to warm up an animal corpse to feed their children with

my mam has been veggies for years (way before it was trendy!), but she cooks meat for me and my dad.

i wonder if its abusive indoctrination to force religion on your children?

I dunno.

Which is worse, a belief in God or a lack of basic amino acids, proteins and vitamins possible leading to endemic malnutrition?
