Help needed with Pop Quiz

Stuck on the last four clues of Gav & Arno's US Pop Quiz. It's cryptic clues for the names of Pop/Rock groups or artists. We've solved 246 out of 250 between the two of us in the office but are badly stuck on the last four.

Examples:
Clue: 'Slim Scottish Godfather' = Don McLean
Clue: 'Lion Talker' = Leo Sayer

Last four clues are:
'Barely made the wood in the pond'
'Stick Down'
'Steak Sauce'
'Joining to make car stationary'

Any help gratefully received!
