... as the title says.

I'm meeting up with around 20 people on a weekday and need to find somewhere for lunch as close to Goodwood as possible.

Nothing fancy, just pie-and-a-pint styleee with reasonable parking. And yes, I know there's a Little Chef on the Chichester bypass

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Try the badger PH. Not cheap but great pub food. Left out of Goodwood, Right before the racecourse, follow for approx 2 miles then left @ T-junction. Pub about 5 mins on rhs towards Petworth. About 10 mins drive.
Alternatively the flying club in the circuit is convenient and reasonable (Breakfasts etc.)
Have a good one

Would think 20 for sit down together would rule out most pubs unless they were more of a Harvester type.

You could try the Marriot Hotel which if I remember correctly is very near the Goodwood House and set in the estate.

Hotels usually love outside lunchtime trade as traditionally it is a very quiet time for them, would thing you could arrange something without it costing the earth.

There's also a Harvester type thing just past the marriot towards Sainsbury's and turn left. IF you reach Homebase you've gone too far.

Thanks for the replies, guys.
I've contacted some of the guys concerned and it looks as if the flying club wins it.....

The flying club's fine, but not exactly the most elegant structure. Have you thought about The Seven Stars in Stroud? Great run from Goodwood...

Went there once, never again. Bar staff were appallingly rude.
