Forgotten music tracks......

[ads-northants]

I'm sure we've all done this at some point, but I was going through my music folder on the PC to delete stuff I no longer like and came across some really good tunes that I'd forgotten about and hadn't listened to for ages!

Mine are:

Crowded House - Fall At Your Feet
Talking Heads - Wild Wild Life
Blue Pearl - Naked In The Rain
Echo And The Bunnymen - The Killing Moon
The Ramones - Baby I Love You
Squeeze - Another Nail In My Heart

to name a few....what are your forgotten tunes?

[Nick P]

anything by 'The Wonderstuff'

Been scrolling through iTunes today too, came across these gems:

Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence
Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill
Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Blinded By The Light
Dire Straights - Sultans Of Swing

Awesome!

Here's a few older obscure records, different tastes but worth downloading
Devil's answer / Atomic Rooster
537 Cuba /Orishas
Back street love /Curved Air
Enter the Dragon /Lee Perry and the Upsetters

I have a cover of this by China Drum, which is really brilliant. Love both versions, see if you can hunt it down if you can, if not drop me a PM and i'll see if i can get it for you. I don't have it with me at the moment but i know i put it on a CD for the missus a while ago so she might.

Cheers,
Rob.

Errr, can't remember....

I forgot all about Entroducing by DJ Shadow until I heard it being played in the background on Top Gear tonight.

The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary

A mate lent me a compilation tape with an awesome cover of Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights" in a rock/metal style. Sounds dubious but is in fact awesome! Anyone know which band it's by?

Whatever happened to him? Great but odd album IMO.

China Drum also covered Wuthering Heights! So it may well be them

Cheers,
Rob.

The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain covered Wuthering Heights too! Imagine it being sung by a deep bass male voice in a Yorkshire accent... (yes, they really exist, and did Glasto last year)
