Each lottery draw gives out a jackpot of a few million ( enough for nearly everyone to retire ), but when a "jackpot of £10 million plus" comes up they rush to buy tickets ? why 3 and a half million not a good enough return for your quid?

Always amazes me, greed.

AFAIC the more the better, it makes the rollover bigger.

Not sure it's that, more like there's always big publicity when there's a huge jackpot which reminds people to do it, which increases the jackpot further and it turns into a snowballing effect.

Coz, that Fern Britton that sits in that box in the corner of me front room said I should go and buy one and all of a sudden it was no longer a waste of money

I always play the weds and sat draws,i also mean to play the euro one but forget 9 times out of ten,i bought tickets for todays of the back of seeing it on ph ,so i guess the answer for me is,if its publicised enough like a roll over is then i get reminded.

I figure I'm not going to get many chances of picking the right numbers on the lottery many times in my life, if at all, and so if I do I want to maximise my yield.

Bear in mind the jackpot could well be shared, and though I'd be absolutely delighted to win half a million its not going to give me as many options as it would if I won £10 million.
