I'm trying to buy an interior door at the mo, without much success. I've looked around the internet and they're all quoting about 14 days delivery. Can anyone recommend somewhere that will deliver pretty quickly, but not pull my pants down over the price?

Wickes usually have them in stock.

A fairly standard 626 six-panel number

Wickes or B&Q whorehouse will have them on the shelf to take away.

I was kinda hoping for delivery though since I don't drive a Luton van

I bought some 6 panel pine ones from Wickes for about £16ea about 5 years ago. Been absolutely fine. The only thing I would say is if you're intending to paint them, let them sit in the house for a good while before you fit them as the panels settle slightly with the change in temperature/moisture and you could end up with a thin line of bare wood on display.

You can definitely get a Wickes one in an MX-5 with the roof down

I'll have a butchers in Wickes then - I may be able to get my hands on an estate car.

We've a great independent called Door Distributors in Chesterfield that delivered free.

Else try your B&Q's/Wickes/Focus.

When I had some doors stripped they hung a bit out the back of a 306, but I tied them in so it was fine. ALthough a bit nervy on the hill back home with them.

Didn't I see somewhere that Wickes or B&Q let you borrow a van for about a tennor?

I worked for them for a couple of months - they pay sh!t as well. You pays peanuts, the customer gets monkeyed about?

B&Q don't do the £10 van any more, at least not at the Coventry Warehouse one. Shame, it was pretty useful - though it did take a bit of a beating to get from there to my house and back within the hour, particularly if there was a lot to load and unload.

You want to try selling your business to them!! Thats an interesting experience I can tell you. (I know - I've done it)

Any of the sheds will do the sort of door your looking for for under £20.00, but if you ask them to deliver it will cost a bundle & cost a few quid - much better off collecting.
