I can see Blair overriding this and declaring himself Dictator, because, as we all know, they know what's best for us, and they isn’t going to let petty things like democracy get in the way of that!

Power maniac Tone was looking a bit knackered recently.

With a bit of luck, he might expire.

what is that law they've used more times in the last 8 years than in the last 50 years of parliment - the one they used to get the fox hunting bill through....

Was about to say that, does it matter if something gets defeated in the House of Lords when the Commons can force it through anyway?

The LSE reckon they're going to cost £500 per person. How ridiculous. Especially when you consider it won't be compulsory to have it on you anyway.

The whole things is a complete farce. Would it have stopped the July suicide bombers? Of course not - they'd have had one each, same as everyone else!

"The Parliament Act". This was designed to overrule the House of Lords in times of national emergency (invasion-type situation, revolution). Prior to Bliar it was used only once (during WW2, IIRC) but that megalomaniac knob has used it for petty political reasons. Simply for that misuse of power he should be impeached.
