Well, sleep envy asked. So for those of you who are wondering (both of you) no, I did not sleep with my soon-to-be flatmate. That would be stupid.

We may have pulled though, after a 'my boyfriend doesn't understand me' conversation initiated by her. We were drunk, I was comforting her, and it, er, got a little out of control. However, when sober on Sunday I convinced her (I think) that she should give the guy a chance and sort it all out (even though he sounds like a cold, narcissistic prick).

I am going to hell.

Not tonight - she's gone skiing. I have 6 weeks before she moves in.

It was so obvious from the beginning of the weekend what was going to happen. I really do (seriously) need to deal with this as it's awfully bad form to mess around with housemates; it's like messing around with people from work. If you like the easy life, it's a terrible idea.

Oh, and ex Lady F has heard that B is moving in. B was the only woman frined of mine that she had any insecurities about (not B's fault - she's just rather 'intimidatingly attractive' according to my sister). So if ex Lady F finds out about all of this, my quiet life will be further diminished.

Damn.

My chums who lurk on these threads are sending me e-mails, laughing at me.

I quote one:

"Well done, again. As ever your comedy romantic entanglements provide us married men with tears of laughter. I warned you about moving in with Beautiful B, but you didn't listen. Looking forward to seeing you get out of this one; after all, you've only just recovered from the fallout about the NYE affair. Kate's laughing as well -sends her love and says that if you go near any of her friends, she'll cripple you."

Charming.

Actually, he is mate! Travers Smith Braithwaite. So's she, at Lovells.

Gah - all academic. Vowed never to date another lawyer after the ex. You never get to see them.

so, folks, i cant believe we didn't think of this before. lets open the book on this little drama in development.

closest guess to the exact scenario gets paid by harry, everyone else has to apologise to him for thinking ill of the poor, unpredictable chap. Harry's minted so I'm guessing he wont let fear of a payout sway his intentions. in fact id be surprised if a meteor hitting him whilst he was hanging out the back of her would stop him.

so then, ill start. i bet 20 quid he'll her. a score for a score as it were. more specifically, he'll her within 12 hours of her moving in, he'll convince himself that it could work for about 6 hours, then finally give in and admit that hes made a booby (a neat trick if you can do it) and spend many tormented hours playing the stupidity of his actions off against how nice her tits were.

there will then follow 6 weeks of uncomfortable but enjoyable activity, after which they'll cease to be friends and/or lovers cos Harry's master plan will be to bring someone else home to 'illustrate' his intentions/ feelings. this however will not cause her to move out, just cause her to be that way women are when they are pretending to be fine. this will go on for far too long.

harry, i want my twenty in penny chews please. no, not that kind of chew

over to you folks, remember: its cash for gash in this game.
