You can handcuff Monbiot to a tree, before I burn the forest, if you like...

Yeah! These "Greenie Anti-Social B#stards" need to be taught a lesson!......

We'll start with Monbiot....... Let's burn him at the stake....(after eating his own article)...

mind you!....on second thoughts...No!
It'll make him produce even more methane and he has enough wind as it is............

I preferred it when you called him "Moonbat". It made me laugh for two whole days when I first saw that and I've just started again now...

(I used to enjoy watching Beryl Reid getting baffled by MoonCat's stream of conciousness)

The most interesting thing is the realisation that we dont know everything. We havent worked it all out yet.

"To their amazement, the scientists found that all the textbooks written on the biochemistry of plants had APPARENTLY OVERLOOKED the fact that methane is produced by a range of plants even when there is plenty of oxygen.

Interesting and quite obvious really. What happens to the billions(trillions???) of tonnes of leaves every year as they biodegrade?

Should ban leaves!

So it leaves the greenies with an interesting paradox. Do they plant trees to remove CO2 or cut them down to stop them producing methane

Oh yes, that's gonna piss the environmentalists off no end I can hear them reaching for their book of excuses already.

Already done, they're playing it down because it doesn't fit their objectives...

The BBC Article said:

But some experts on climate change science and policy say it is far too early to come to this kind of conclusion.

Mind you, this is diametrically opposed to the tack they take on disagreement with their speculative global warming findings.

I reckon it's a possibility that, with everything on this planet with the exception of space rocks having come from it, it's quite possible that, outlandish as it may sound, human civilisation and industrialisation is as natural to the planet as photosynthesis is to plants, and any meddling with it to 'combat' climate change could prove apocalyptically disastrous.

I mean, surely if we evolve and produce industry, that's natural progress, but arseing around with unknown and elementary science to get the Earth to do different things most certainly constitutes 'man-made climate change'.

Just that a daffodil was the only plant i could think of at the time.

So planting trees is not the answer, so the fines for cars will increase to persuade us to use the more enviromentally friendly buses and trains
