What is all the fuss about?
I struck a deal with the GF that we would see Kong and then Brokeback mountain when it came out and even she did not see why its billed as the greatest film for years.

Subject matter is different and maybe still seen as bit close to the bone by some (no pun intended!), but it was just another love story film and not a particularly great one at that IMO.

Might have more relivance in the states what with the cowboy theme and all but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it if you havn't already, go and see Kong, more entertaining and at least you know what your going to get.

but, whatever you do, DONT go and see 'just friends'. its the single worst film ive ever seen. without a single redeeming feature. i would have rather spent my money on tax.

What about the Producers? I've heard really mixed reviews but quite fancy seeing a comedy.

I've heard a universal message that it's rubbish.

On the other hand Uma Thurman is looking very fine on those posters. Stockings with suspenders

King Kong is brilliant but see the original first or you won't get that it's a homage to the original, even down to the obvious doll used in some special effects scenes which echo the amateur affect of the earlier film and maintains the implausible Boys Own content. It also avoids the mawkish sentimentality and "writer's message" always associated with modern Hollywood schmaltz and leaves you to empathise and draw your own obvious conclusion without it having to be spelt out. The main weakness is that Jack Black is really annoying.

Put it this way, John Wayne will be turning in his grave... next we'll have "Gunfight At Ogay Corral".Say no more!
