Makes you realise how close we were to NOT having Churchill.

Let's not forget the attempts to re-wrtie history, the Polly Toynbees of this world are trying to re-write history by marginalising and belittling the achievements we hold so dear and have so much to be thankful for.

I am not a particularly emotional person (unless someone disses my Tiv ) but I had a tear in my eye when the naval officer said at the end "Winston is back".

Yeah, bloody good series that

Some of the stuff that went on... like when churchill had a magneto removed from a bombers engine so it couldn't fly, but didn't want to look like he was worried about the plan to shoot it down while he was onboard Apparently he kicked up a right stink, knowing full well that it couldn't fly anyway!

Fantastic drama. Produced by Tony and Ridley Scott - so pretty good credentials. Churchill was a truly remarkable man - I am currently four fifths of the way through his memoirs of the second world war. He writes beautifully too.
