years old? Working wise, personal life, how was that time for you and when did you get your own place?

Funnily enough 20 was utterly excellent.

Just been promoted at work, moved into my own flat, bought a 205 Gti and was having a great time.

I was better off at 20 than 7 years later lol.

Working? I was frantically sending off applications to banks in the city 3/4 of which no longer exist, I remember being jealous when a mate received his offer from Barings.....he was so smug "oldest bank in the city etc"

Moved into a flat in London and had a ball, then realised that I was actually spending more per month than I was earning!

It was a hard time in lots of ways, I knew feck all about the job I was doing, was right out of my depth, as a relatively wooly academic type after 3 years at uni, work was a shock quite frankly.

Apart from the whole being older, closer to dying etc aspect I'm much happier these days really.

I was on a work placement as part of Uni course. Having a whale of a time living a semi-student lifestyle but getting paid to do it.

Workwise - was working in a grotty job being paid about £7000 per year.

Love - was unhappily married.

Home, living in a rented flat in a village.

Yep, life is much better 13 years on!

Was studying dentistry (wasn't as incompetent then, I got worse as I progressed) living in a very grim student house until it got broken into whilst I was in there and I promptly moved out.
20 wasn't particularly good for me!

Nope. I'd asked her to be but she refused.
