Company Disputes
Discussion
Curious : Why are certain medium to large sized companies unwilling to give out the names of their Managing Directors if you are making a formal complaint ?
I understand that certain complaints / matters are to be handled at a customer Service Level but when the dispute becomes more serious and an MD should be informed it becomes more difficult to source the information if calling the company direct.
Im led to believe that this is legal information which you are entitled to receive .
Is this correct ?

A colleague here having a dispute with company x has just managed to google to find the CEO’s name. From that constructed an email with all combinations of email addresses he could think of with the CEO’s name and company and sent it off into the ether. From one of them back came the CEO’s out of office reply containing mobile phone numbers of the CEO and all the other directors of a major telco.
Said CEO was not pleased to receive a phone call from a pissed off customer whilst he was on his family skiing holiday in France, but 20 minutes later he had a phone call from the executive office promising to sort it within 24 hours.
