I like Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy, but some of the Tommy and Quadrophenia stuff I don't care for.
This year I have discovered Alkaline Trio.....I can't understand why no-one made me listen to them before.

Hopefully 2006 will be a big year for 'Koopa' though.

Oh hello everyone.

Quite NYE this year.

Chilling with the prospective missus (God I hope so).

She's gone to bed now (unfortunately not in my bed, but being in the same building is a start) but I'm currently listening to the new High Contrast mix on Fabric.

Bloody excellent it is too.

Earlier we were listening to a combination of my band (www.myspace.com/kissorkilluk), Depeche Mode and Deftones.

Happy New Year to all.

Oh, I am fairly drunk.

But I spend all day every day typing...

If I was to stop the room would start spinning, but as long as I'm focused on the screen I'm OK.

Although I did spell quiet wrong!

Aaahhhhhhhhhh I have been in that situation a few times myself.

It's even worse when you wear contact lenses and your eyes have all dried out - Then you get quadruple vision instead of just double vision!

Definitely - which album? Saw them on their recent tour - have to admit I was a bit disappointed. Not as impressed as I was with the In Absentia tour. And I have to say I thought Fripp supporting was a bit pants...

PT's music is top notch though!

Deadwing. The drum teacher at my school used to be in the band, but he left both PT and my school. He drums in London in musicals, now. He's done Fame, Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You and Grease. Impressive, eh?

My mate told me about them. He saw them live a couple of weeks ago, and said they were great. So, next time they come to Cambridge (which hopefully should be soon as that's where they're based), I'll go and watch.

They are a good band. Lazarus is an amazing song.

They're not very well known, though. I'm lad there's another fan on PH.

Check out some of their earlier stuff. Whilst Deadwing is good I don't think it's their best to date. Check out:

In Absentia
Signify
Lightbulb Sun
Stupid Dream
Voyage 34

Great stuff. You might also like Blackfield which is another project of Steve Wilson's.

PS - what's the drummer's name, I may have come across him

I'll look at that stuff, but I've only just got to know them.

The drummer was called Chris Maitland. A top bloke.
