Tax, will we be....

I have a car that has an MOT, currently SORN (just getting it back on the road). I am in the process of sorting the insurance for my g/f so she can drive.

Now she has her driving licence, we will have the MOT, Insurance will be sorted by the end of the day, the question is: She wants to come and pick the car up on thursday and get it taxed.... How can we do this as most of the insurnce companies will be closed and when they open on wednesday they won't have enough time to send out the cover note and certificate so we can get tax or will they?

We need the car for Friday, will we be able to physically be able to do it...... maybe get the insurance company to fax the details, etc. Can we do that?

Most of the insurance industry dont get time off over christmas, I know as im in.

Just spoken to my motor insurance company as my renewal is January and they are in.

Do you know anyone with a fax machine, you could get the covernote faxed.

To avoid dissapointment make sure thre jobsworths at your local post office will accept a fax copy. Also I would never advocate a quick scan and alteration job on an old one just to get the disc out of the jobsworth clowns
