I don't get a christmas bonus as I'm a contrator.

On a brighter note, every day is bonus day for IT contractors in the city!

Never had a Christmas bonus, ever!

Did get some awfully good (cash) tips when I worked as a bar maid tho , the other bar staff changed frequently and could never understand why I was always so happy to work Christmas Eve/Lunch/NYE.

A night out in my local, the place I would be anyway, socialising with everyone, getting paid for it, all my drinks bought, and tips!!

But a bonus, from an employer, never. Lucky to have had a box of chocolates one year from my boss, but that was only 'cause I knew he was having an affair and was mates with his wife!!

I had a 50% increase in my christmas bonus this year.

Apparently I impressed my boss by how hard I was working, because I was working late many days and on a number of weekends.

He doesn't know it is to make up for time lost on PH's

You mean you got 3% this year as opposed to 2% last year

A Whopping 2.5% bonus..

I guess we do get the bonus twice a year.. but it's not exactly a great amount when you're paid a pittance for what you do!

Well they are Accountants after all. It's enough to buy all the Christmas presents though, even including those for my wife who has expensive tastes.

I was gonna ask how you managed to get a 50% increase, impress your boss , and find time to debate on my topics here you even beat me to some thread topics on a few occasions.

The management here keep bringing in 2kg tins of Roses bl00dy chocolates. I'm starting to get fed up of the sodding things

only because there's no more orange crisp ones

Actually, with the way everyone's coughing, spluttering, and sneezing round here I'll consider it a bonus if I don't get a cold over the holidays
