Spiked Drinks - A warning!
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to give a word of warning to you over christmas.
I had my drink spiked with something last night, I wasn't drunk but basically lost control of my breathing and motion. It got to the point where I couldn't breathe and went blue a couple of times... just thank christ I made it home
We ended up getting the ambulance out, I felt so sad and depressed despite this being one of the happiest crimbo's for me in years.
My parents phoned the F.R.A.N.K helpline for some advice. They said they had thousands of calls from people who had similar things done to them in my area.
I thought that being a big tough bloke, I had nothing to fear... EVERYONE, please make sure you keep your drinks with you at all times.
I have just had one of the most terrifying experiences of my life, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same thing!
(and people take this crap for fun??)
Go out, have fun, but please, please, please... be careful!

I knew you lot would cheer me up a bit this morning!
Nope, the arse is as was yesterday.
(Vixpy1 - Thanks for the pm about using savalon, its not needed though
) Nope, car keys, wallet etc all intact!
Not really sure why, but it was scary as hell. Does anyone have any experience with drugs could tell me what it might have been? The paramedics said they wouldn't be able to tell even from a blood test. I felt paranoid and out of control... plus I was hyperventilating and had little control over my body. They did an ECG and my heart rate was quite high although it was all a bit of a blur.
The guys with the ambulance were great and stayed long enough for it to wear off, although they couldn't give me anything other than time. I was really grateful they came out as it reassured my family and helped calm me down a bit as well.
Glad you're OK! Try not to let it mess up your x-mas. What comes around goes around so they say.
Similar happened to a mate & I in Tooting, luckily he lived very close to the pub & I managed to get him home before it hit me. His G/F looked after us thankfully, police were informed in the morning but couldn't do much.
Some nasty bastards out there, one of my mate had a couple of tabs put in his pint a few years ago & was hospitalised for a while

Sounds to me like the symptoms could well have been from the stress of your drink being spiked combined with the drug.
A pill (ecstacy) would make you feel a bit out of control etc and I reckon the breathing problems and paranoia were from not knowing what had happened rather than the drug itself. I don't think e's raise your heart beat *significantly* (I only ever took them with speed which I know does!) so that I think would have been, again, down to the stress - further exacerbating your breathing problems.
All in all - my money is on an e. Ketamine is far stronger in it's effect (IME) and you feel totally
ed!
Reminds me of Jimmy Carr's t-shirt though:

KingRichard said:My guess would be Ketamine, seen some people react very badly to it in the past. I take it you were not seeing anything funny?

KingRichard said:They can have all sorts of reactions on you. More varied (I suspect) when you don't know you've taken one.
Not sure on the e front... they are supposed to make you happy aren't they? ![]()
And I thought their effects were quite minimal ( i know people that have taken upwards of 8 or 10 in a night)
They are quite a psycological drug (not as much as acid though) so being in the "wrong frame of mind" will alter the effects. Not being aware of having taken one and panicking about what's happening can fall in to the "wrong frame of mind"!
I just don't get how anyone, apart from totally brain-dead, people can take that many!! - maybe they were stronger "in my day" but I never managed (nor needed!) more than 2 in a night. :cough:lightweight:cough:
