Surely Cliff Richard's "Mistletoe and Wine" has to be the worst? Makes me want to vomit whenever I heard it.

That one by the Pogues where he sounds like he is drunk really winds me up.

And another thing how come every channel MTV, VH1, etc is playing Christmas songs, sometimes I just want to listen to normal music, I know its Christmas but there is no point changing from one channel to another and hearing the same some. Madonna's new one is like this but the Christmas ones you hear every year as there is rarely a new one

I found 'We're all dreaming of a summer holiday' pretty bad as a christmas song

I think Telly Savalas did one, I know Leonard Nimmoy done a Christmas Carol's albumn but didn't the god of bad songs William Shatner do a Chrimble track (who remembers his version of Pulp's Common People) !!!!

I'm not sure it's an xmas song, but I've just stumbled accross "Rock Around The Clock" by Helga and Herr Flick (of 'Allo 'Allo fame) in the iTunes music store.
My ears have shut down in protest at how bad it is!!

What I don't get is why is a song that is number one for one Christmas automatically a Christmas song?

For example, Only You by Flying Pickets, The Power of Love by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, etc?

Shatner's version of Common People is beyond funny

That "simply haaaaving, a wonderful christmas time" thing with block chords from some durge hymn played on a synth makes me cringe...

From another forum.

Quote - Once upon a time, almost 10 years ago, a German producer decided to put out a Christmas album to cater to the Philipino speaking German market.

More fool me, I arranged some of the backing for it.

The guy was an idiot (amongst other things), but responsible inadvertently for one of the most funny Christmas songs ever, when the producer insisted that his niece should sing on one of the duet tracks.

Yes, a minute in - the wait is worth it (not) The worst thing I've ever heard. I was going to nominate 'Rock & Roll Xmas' by Gary Glitter

"i love to hear the children sing
it looks like santa's gonna' bring..."
