holiday home rentals over new year

[maddog-uk]

Yep I know I have left it late but we are looking for a nice romantic cottage to stay in over new year, with a fire etc, upto 5 hours from london. Anyone got any suggestions for websites or places, or own a cottage they want to rent out?

I have tried cottages4you (flipping site never seams to have availability) and national trust.

cheers

Simon

We booked ours last week and there are a few about in Ireland. Within 5 hours, if a little outside of the box .

How did you find it?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Never been there, never used them, no association, yada yada yada, but www.classic.co.uk (Classic Cottages)have loads of cottages with open fire(s) available over the New Year.... they're all in the South West.

for example, Fore Stoke Linhay on Dartmoor (ref 553)
Barbridge Cottage in Dorest (ref 1805)
Week Cottage in Somerset (ref 1636) (I quite like the look of that one!)

I suggest you let the search actually finish processing, instead of banging your keyboard in frustration like I did - it does appear to be pretty accurate, if slooooooooooooow.

Good luck...

have a look at www.english-country-cottages.co.uk

I had a quick look - quite a lot available over New Year , includes Wales as well as England

I have a holiday complex in North Devon, 8 cottages, indoor swimming pool, tennis court, and games room. Currently have 3 cottages over new year available if you are interested.
