Going to see it tonight. I bought tickets last Friday and duly turned up at the cinema only to be told it wasn't released till "next week". D'oh!

Still, I only found out after I'd spent a fortune on hot-dogs/popcorn etc.

Not sure as I can be bothered to go tonight...

You'll probably need to wait a year or so for the specially extended DVD to be released. Only then will it all make sense..

just got back. Started 2PM, movie then started at 2:30 then I left at 5:40PM.

long movie but well worth it. an very well made family movie. not for young kids but most who went ( there was many 5-7 years olds there) and they really enjoyed it.

If you want a good enjoyable movie then go and watch it. Of course not for everyone but I liked it

Be careful! I got banned from my local cinema for eating my own food in there while watching a movie.

I tried to explain that the prices at the concession stand were outrageous...and besides, I hadn't had a good BBQ in ages!

I was there at 11.00am Thursday, clutching bag of snacks.

I thought that you could really feel Jackson's love for the original film , sticking closely to the plot without too much lateral deviation. We even got a bit of a back story on the blonde (and watch for the clever reference to Faye Wray being unavailable on another film!). Special effects, especially of the big fella, were superb. Not something I would take young kids to.

So, the tickets were for Thursday night (15th). Not Friday 16th... twice now. I'm not going to try again!

Just got back from seeing this, I have to say I was very impressed.

Really good, some bits a little OTT for me, but I was crying my eyes out!
