another one of those amazing ebay bargains.....a 3.0 litre deisel/4.4 litre petrol range rover for just £6,500, and less than 2 years old!...nothing fishy there then!

Nice email address on the advert - these need to be tracked down and shot.

his e mail address is scrotumway@aol.com! I think it may be a wee bit of a scam.

Poor chap!

It's a shame his name is Mr S. C. Rotumway, then.

don't understand what the scam is though

if you want your scam to look legitimate why not put a sensible buy it now price on (say a grand or two under trade?)

Sorry for being a bit of a naive dimwit here, but what exactly is the point of these listings? I've seen loads of them and always wondered. Are they trying to get people to put down a deposit and then bugger off?

O.versteer - I'm with you mate. There are alot of these on eBay, they almost always get cancelled, as they are obviously dodgy.

Not quite as blatant as this one, where the small print says you're only buying the "Picture" of the feautured item!

Because he has had his account stolen by the scammer.

seen things like this before, and its really cheeky, but, there really is nothing that the buyer can do! it does clearly state that you will be bidding on a picture, even though it is at the bottom of a very long decription.
