right, i'm not a sentimental romantic but the other half is a bit upset. we dont see each other much as we have a stuffing great big ocean in between us - however we are in the middle of one of our long stretches apart (this time the gap is only 7-8 weeks by the time i get out there in 3-4 weeks).

however, she is down in the dumps, i'm close to get my marching orders so i need to cheer her up a bit.

i've decided the only thing i can do is send some flowers, which will make her day. now, knowing my luck i'd accidently choose a wreath or something daft which probably won't go down too well. so - what flowers do you buy a woman? and what do various flowers mean?

i'm really looking for a flower that says "i love you" and "pull yourself together" with a hint of "get a grip - i'm still here".

Go to the Interflora website, select one of the basket arrangements. Job done.

I used to use them to send flowers to the Mrs when she was in Italy and I was over here, never had a problem with international deliveries.

I don't think you can ever go wrong with roses.
Dozen red roses, classic.
Or Eight, one for every week you've been apart..... (smooth bastad me ya know).

Or thirteen if you want to be pale and interesting.

As someone that has only received flowers from Mr Speedchick once, I personally would be happy with any he deigned to send me!

But, you can't go wrong with red roses, and also maybe orchids (and whatever you decide on, back it up with an I love you phone call)

Go to the Bear Factory choose a cute looking bear or something buy a voice recorder box, record a sentimental/romantic/something she will laugh at message get a Bear Factory person to sew it inside the bear, dress said bear in something pj's perhaps and post it off to her. Then everytime she squeezes the bear she'll hear your voice and smile.
