Cameron played a blinder, hopefully a good indication of what's to come!

I had a huge grin on my face during that, suddenly everyone else looks very old and rubbish stood next to Cameron

Perhaps I was watching something else completely but he looked completely ordinary to me.

TBH he stated his position that he didn't want to go down the 'pantomime politics' route. Sensible and intelligent debate will be his style, none of the mud slinging we have seen in the past. Yes it may be boring to watch, but, at least our leaders will be debating issues rather than hurling playground insults.

I didn't think it was that great, and i'm not sure his power of debate is enough to win him an election to be honest.

Cheers,
Rob.

Hague was a skilled and confident orator, Howard was witty and entertaining, IDS was painful to watch. So I guess oratory skills are not a good guide to how may votes they can attract.

Personally, I think Cameron is being built up into something that he is not. He lacks the substance to back up even an average performance. My guess is he will struggle to make an impact against even a teetering Labour leadership.

It will be interesting.

Cameron will be fine as long as he's got the conservative party behind him, his performance in the house of commons was average IMO.

Historically speaking , the conservative party has a history of "turning" against their leaders in knee jerking moves that have cost them election after election.

I hope all that's in the past now, and that they will stick with their leader through thick and thin.

Its bloody pathetic. Its just like being back at school in the debating society. Cheap snide comments from cheap snide little bastards who probably got bullied a lot. Surely its time now to see these scumbags for what they are. Time for a change Cameron is as unelectable as Blair is fast becoming.

My view is that the Conservatives are back in the game and can perhaps offer some level of credible opposition. I welcome this.

To believe that Cameron is going to be the next Prime Minister is somewhat over stating the case.
